Alexander "Sandy" Broderick
Alexander "Sandy" Broderick is an exchange and clearing executive and consultant.
He also currently serves as non-executive director at Lombard Risk, a director at ClearCompress and as director of Broderick Associates Ltd.
Broderick ran the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation's (DTCC)'s global trade repository since August 2013. He oversaw the business following the advent of mandatory trade reporting in Europe. He also led the establishment of DTCC's trade repositories in Japan and Singapore.
Broderick was previously the chief executive officer of New York Portfolio Clearing (NYPC), DTCC’s jointly owned company with NYSE Liffe. He was appointed in April 2012 and relocated to New York from London for the NYPC position. He has since returned to London to run DTCC DerivSERV full time, while Lynn Martin takes over as interim CEO of NYPC during the transition of the clearing of NYSE Liffe U.S. products to ICE Clear Europe.
Broderick was previously the head of GBP derivatives and bond trading at Societe Generale for 14 years. He was key in developing the LCH.Clearnet SwapClear system and served as chairman of the OTCDerivNet board. Broderick also worked for Bank of America trading swaps and options from 1994 to 1998. He began his career as a trader for Continental Illinois National Bank of Chicago in 1986.
