Alexandra Albright is the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE)'s chief compliance officer. She was named to that newly-created position on April 13, 2012.[1]

She oversees compliance procedures at CBOE's exchanges and reports to chairman and CEO Edward Tilly.[2]


Albright came to the CBOE from Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, where she focused on compliance, litigation and corporate finance.[3]

She spent five and a half years with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in Washington, D.C. She was a senior counsel in the Division of Enforcement specializing in short sales and short-sale-related trading activities. While in the Division of Enforcement, she took an active role in several high-profile investigations involving illegal short selling, insider trading and violations of Rule 105 of Regulation M.[4]
