Barbara Dixon is president of Spackenkill Trading Corp.

Barbara (Saslaw) Dixon was one of the first women in the managed futures business. She began her career as an assistant to Richard Donchian, the father of trend following, from 1970 to 1973. In subsequent years, she wrote many of his market letters and ran his 5 and 20 system until 1989. She also served as a senior vice-president at Smith Barney.

Later she founded Spackenkill Trading, an independent commodity trading advisor. She played an active role at the Institute for Financial Markets (formerly the Futures Industry Institute) as a member of its board of trustees, and contributed much of her time and energy to raising funds on its behalf. In 2006, she was inducted into the Futures Industry Association Futures Hall of Fame. [1]
