Catherine Bartzos is a managing director at J.P. Morgan. She is responsible for global OTC Rates Clearing Sales. In June 2010, Bartzos was appointed chairman of the supervisory board at the ELX. Bartzos has been on the ELX board and operating committee since January 2008. In 2010 she replaced trading firm Breakwater's Tom Rubio as chairman.
Previously, Bartzos was responsible for J.P. Morgan’s USD Rates electronic trading platforms and building the interest rate derivative prime brokerage product. Prior to this, Bartzos worked with asset managers to develop J.P. Morgan’s practice around derivatives trading. She also managed derivative and FX sales teams focused on bank and finance companies and U.S. multinational corporate clients. Bartzos also worked as an operations manager in London and Tokyo for the bank.
Bartzos received a bachelor's degree in Finance and Management from New York University's School of Business and Public Administration.
