GFT Group specialises in designing and implementing IT solutions for the financial services industry. It is a strategic partner for many well-known companies around the world.

The GFT Group has approximately 32 offices in eight countries, with customers in more than 30 different countries. The GFT division of the GFT Group offers IT solutions for the banking sector – which is divided into retail and investment banks.[1]

In July 2014, GFT acquired Rule Financial, a London-based investment banking consultancy. The deal added approximately €42 million to GFT's turnover for the second half of the year.[2]

History

GFT was founded in 1987 by Ulrich Dietz, the current CEO, in St. Georgen in Germany’s Black Forest.[3]
