John Rogers is head of data and technology at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Rogers, who was named chief information officer of the new office at the CFTC in September 2011, served at the agency for 10 years before that.
Rogers began at the CFTC in 2001, serving until 2006 as the branch chief overseeing systems development. In 2006, he was promoted to director of the office of information technology services.
As of September 2011, Rogers had more than 28 years of experience in the information technology field, serving in both the private and public sectors.
Rogers is a 1988 graduate of the George Washington University.
