She holds three patents related to the trading of physical commodities.
Lerner began her career with Cargill International and later became the senior trader for Cargill’s Latin American sugar markets, where she focused on the development of origination markets with successful financing programs and warehouse and distribution programs. She has also held several positions in trading and business development with companies such as Phibro, XL Financial (weather derivatives) and Sempra Energy Trading (electricity). Ms. Lerner was also a Managing Director of Golden Seeds, an angel investment group, from 2006 to 2010
Lerner currently specializes in bringing liquidity and efficiencies to thin and/or nascent markets.
Lerner holds a BSBA from Boston University.
Lerner participated in the MarketsWiki Education World of Opportunity series in Chicago in July of 2017 at Trading Technologies' offices.
