Margaret Williams is the deputy chief regulatory officer at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). She was promoted to that newly created position on April 27, 2012. She continues to report to Timothy Thompson, CBOE's chief regulatory officer.[1]

Williams was previously the vice president of CBOE's regulatory services division.


Williams has been with CBOE since 1986. In addition to her work as vice president of the regulatory services division, she served as CBOE's department head of market regulation. She has been CBOE's representative on the Intermarket Surveillance Group and on the Self-Regulatory Organization Enforcement Roundtable. From 1983 to 1986, Williams worked for Refco and for Refco's affiliated securities broker-dealer in the research department and as a Series 3- and Series 7-licensed representative.[2]
