Robert Holifield is a senior policy advisor with Alston & Bird, LLP, a major U.S. law firm with over 800 attorneys.[1][2]

Background

Holifield joined the CFTC in December 2007 as a confidential assistant to CFTC commissioner Bart Chilton. Prior to joining the agency, he served on the staff of Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln for almost eight years in a variety of posts including senior policy advisor on agriculture and international trade.

Prior to that, he served on the staff of Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid, as associate director for rural affairs.

Education

Holifield received his bachelor's degree in political science from Arkansas State University in 2000 and attended law school at the University of Arkansas Little Rock Law School.
