Laux joined Eurex Clearing in 2006 from Deutsche Boerse IT, where he worked in a variety of group-wide strategic projects, including the specification of the clearing system. He moved to head of risk design at Eurex Clearing AG in May of 2010.
His current responsibilities include developing the risk management system and default management process of Eurex Clearing.
Laux led Eurex Clearing through its first CCP fire drill, part of the default management process that included Eurex Clearing, LCH Swapclear and CME in a simulated the default of a major participant – based on the Brexit market conditions as of 24 June 2016.
Laux holds a dual degree masters of business administration from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, and the Fuqua Business School in North Carolina, USA.
