Tom Haldes is a technology and market data professional who was group product manager for buy side technology at Trading Technologies.[1] He joined the company in June of 2006. He was responsible for the development and marketing of execution and post-trade capabilities for buy-side firms, including hedge funds, asset managers, and commodity trading advisors. His responsibilities included TT’s MultiBroker platform, synthetic order and staging capabilities, TT’s APIs and FIX interfaces, and the TT Connected Partner Program.

He conceived and drove the creation of TT’s globally deployed Strategy Engine family, a line of proximity servers that enables low-latency order submission and execution for algorithms, spreads and synthetic orders.

Background

Before joining TT in 2006, Haldes was the head of global market data development and operations for Citadel Investment Group, a position he held for about four years. Prior to that, he was the head of Reuters Consulting for the Central and Western regions of the US. In this role, he was responsible for technology and market data consulting to a variety of banks, brokerages, hedge funds, and proprietary trading firms.
